This paper briefly discusses essential competencies and preparations necessary for safe and ef fective mindfulness training leadership. Mindfulness teachers are expected to embody mindful ness, cultivate strong personal qualities, and adeptly utilize diverse teaching methods. Ethical understanding forms a crucial foundation, emphasizing the prioritization of trainee safety and well-being. Competence includes recognition and management of ethical challenges during teaching. Objective evaluations such as Mindfulness-Based Interventions Teaching Assessment Criteria (MBI:TAC) measure and enhance leadership quality through continuous self-reflection and professional development. This framework aims to elevate the quality of mindfulness train ing in Korea and foster a healthy and safe meditation culture.
